there is not an ounce of legitimate political discourse coming out of the GOP. this isnt even about the naive idea that most americans disagree with anti-gay rhetoric thus rick perry is obvs an idiot. this is about the outrage people should have that rick perry can run those ads as a legitimate political position, that dehumanizing people to the point of denying them access to public utilities and their safety is considered a legitimate thing to say in the republican debates.

things rarely scare me but that self-deportation thing really did. this is why i will *always* side-eye a conservative, even if i dont ~know their personal politics~. dont get on me about how your feelings are hurt that i’m a judgmental bitch once i hear you’re a registered GOP voter. you are aligning with a party, for whatever reason, that believes you should codify racism and treat people like cockroaches. there is not even any debate about this. any rational and reasonable person who doesnt have their ego up their ass can see that ‘self-deportation’ is about denying the humanity of undocumented folks, about treating them less than shit so they flee.

i t scares the fuck out of me that people can say such things on the national press and not get speared instantly. you do not think people like me should be able to have running water. you would discredit everything i have done for my community, everything my parents have collapsed working for, because of my legal status.

how i look at you with anything less than absolute fear, hatred, and contempt?
